Bingoistic – Bing Review





Microsoft is launching Bing with great fervor and is optimistic about the success, so don’t take “Bingoistic” as (Bing + Jingoistic) take it – Bing + Optimistic.

Microsoft (MSFT) is lunching Bing soon. Google has successfully engraved the noun Google to Google verb for search. It will be premature decision to say anything about Bing. MSFT is launching a campaign costing $80 million to $100 million for Bing. MSFT has hardly lost a war in most of the business arena. It has been observed whenever MSFT launches a product people start commenting negatively without analyzing the potential of the product.

There are some salient features I would like to touch upon which I found is interesting.

1. Price Comparison - Detailed

2. Health - Smart Decision

3. Travel - Insight and graphical representation of Result

4. Local - In depth Result


Media is speculating a lot over the potential of Bing. There are some obvious question came up and discussed in the media – Will Bing erode the market share of Google?

Looking at the presentation at Bing official website one thing is clear that Comparison, travel, local listing and health related sites will have tough times in a year or so.

Media and technology thinkers have different view on Bing. Some are saying it will be a flop show some are contemplating that it will remove the noise level compared to Google. Historically whenever Microsoft has launched a product there are so much speculation. People are commenting Microsoft is now Behemoth and it is losing innovation quotient and maneuverability.

Let us wait and watch till the launch of the Bing to come in action!
